These 7075 aluminum alloy inserts replace the factory steel plates on Speedplay X series pedals.  Supplied with titanium screws, they replace the steel screws originally supplied on the pedals.  This modification shaves 24 grams off what are already some of the lightest pedals out there.  The tradeoff is reduced durability when compared to the standard steel plate.  Perfect for tuning your race bike to minimum weight.
